The Directors College and the Collège des administrateurs de sociétés of Université Laval have developed a reciprocal agreement, whereby their respective designations, Chartered Director (C.Dir.) and Administrateur de sociétés certifié (ASC), are recognized as equivalent.
Under the terms of the reciprocal agreement, graduates of one program can obtain the designation of the other program upon application and without further study or examination. This agreement recognizes the national stature and equivalency of Canada’s only two university accredited director certification programs.
The Chartered Director (C.Dir.) designation is recognized across Canada. The Administrateur de sociétés certifié (ASC) designation is highly recognized in the province of Quebec. The Directors College and the Collège des administrateurs de sociétés have renewed their agreement for the equivalency of their respective corporate governance certification. The agreement allows the Directors to obtain a reciprocal designation and academic recognition of the other program.
Get startedBoth the C.Dir. and the ASC are high profile designations in the governance space. For C.Dir. wishing to sit on boards or committees in Quebec, the ASC designation can be an added value for candidates when evaluating application and selecting board members.
