Our alumni are a diverse group of accomplished individuals that span industry sectors and crown, non-profit, and corporate boards. Each has demonstrated a firm commitment to director education and elevating good governance in Canada.
Their leadership extends beyond the boardroom, driving innovation, ethical decision-making, and positive change within their organizations. As advocates for continuous learning and excellence in governance, they set the standard for responsible leadership in an evolving business landscape.
Graduating from the Chartered Director (C.Dir.) Program marks a significant achievement, but it is only the beginning. As governance continues to evolve, so too does the responsibility of today’s board leaders.
To maintain the highest standards of oversight and accountability, Chartered Directors are required to complete Continuing Professional Development (CPD). These requirements ensure that our alumni remain informed on emerging trends, regulatory changes, and evolving best practices in governance.
Graduates of The Directors College Program are granted designations by McMaster University upon successfully completing their program’s exam. Chartered Director graduates are held to a code of conduct and a continuing professional development quota.
We are exceedingly proud of our Alumni and the knowledge, insight, and credibility they bring to our boardrooms. Please view our distinguished graduates.

Under the terms of the reciprocal agreement, graduates of one program can obtain the designation of the other program upon application and without further study or examination. This agreement recognizes the national stature and equivalency of Canada’s only two university accredited director certification programs.
