A Night of Celebration for 2022 Chartered Director Graduates

The Directors College was pleased to celebrate its 2022 Chartered Director program graduates and recognize their achievement, along with 2020 and 2021 graduates, at an in-person convocation on November 10 at the Ron Joyce Centre, DeGroote School of Business in Burlington, Ontario.

The 2022 Chartered Director program graduates represent a diverse group of graduates, including the first graduate from the Alectra Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Scholarship, Earl Davis.  Those in attendance were happy to connect with peers and receive their university-accredited C.Dir. designations from The Directors College, an Executive Program from the DeGroote School of Business at McMaster University.

The Directors College was also delighted to present Nancy Lum-Wilson with the Gil Bennett Gold Standard Award recognizing dedication in raising the bar for professional standards in corporate governance.

2022 Gil Bennett Gold Standard Award

Nancy Lum-Wilson is the 2020 recipient of the Gil Bennett Gold Standard Award, presented to a graduate who has received a top grade on the Chartered Director exam and has demonstrated, over the course of the program, the technical and personal characteristics needed to be an effective board director.

Ms. Lum-Wilson, a Director with SRx Health Solutions, was an active contributor throughout all five modules of the Chartered Director program and recognized for asking insightful questions and engaging fellow participants and faculty.

The evening’s celebration featured a thought-provoking discussion with Sarah Davis, former President of Loblaw Companies Limited and Board Member at Victoria’s Secret, Pet Value, Amdocs and New Look Vision Group around leadership, resilience and managing disruption through innovation.

It was a truly enjoyable evening where graduates, faculty, alumni, and guests came together to recognize those committed to strong leadership and to advancing the state of governance in Canada.
