Scholarships

The Directors College is pleased to offer several scholarships to support the journey to become an inspiring and impactful Canadian business leader and board member.

There are three scholarships in total:

  • The AFOA Canada Indigenous Leadership Scholarship
  • The Board Diversity Scholarship
  • The NATIONAL Public Relations Emerging Leader Scholarship

We know the importance of having prepared and insightful directors who have the courage to ask important questions and the ability to collaborate in the boardroom. We welcome applicants who are forward thinking, a change agent in their own right, and willing to tackle a broad range of problems that modern boards face every day.

All scholarships seek candidates with experience in but not exclusive to: executive, leadership or governance roles, including both employment and volunteer positions, and demonstrated leadership in specific governance areas.

Scholarships will be applied toward our signature Chartered Director (C.Dir.) program in 2018. Candidates will be considered for every scholarship for which they apply and qualify, and one scholarship will be awarded to an individual. Submission for scholarships is open from September 19 to November 15, 2017. A recipient for each scholarship will be selected by November 30, 2017.

Please direct questions and applications to: scholarships@thedirectorscollege.com
