Canada’s Chartered Directors
The Directors College is pleased to present Canada’s Chartered Directors. The graduates listed below have completed The Chartered Director Program, an intensive individual examination, and have met the other requirements to become a Chartered Director (C.Dir.)
The Directors College and the Collège des administrateurs de sociétés (CAS) of Université Laval have a reciprocal agreement, whereby their respective designations – Chartered Director (C.Dir.) and Administrateur de sociétés certifié (ASC) are recognized as equivalent.

Mr. Greg Pollock, C.Dir.
President and CEO, Advocis, The Financial Advisors Association of Canada

Greg Pollock is the President and CEO of Advocis, The Financial Advisors Association of Canada.
Prior to joining Advocis in 2008, Greg was General Secretary of the 43,000 member strong Ontario English Catholic Teachers' Association (OECTA) from 2001-2008. The general secretary is the executive director, responsible for all aspects of the organization and management of the provincial association. Joining OECTA in 1990, he held a number of progressively more senior positions within the organization, including serving as the association's lobbyist and political liaison at the federal and provincial level.
As Deputy General Secretary of the OECTA from 1998-2001, Greg supervised the legislative and financial administration of the organization. During this period, he completed the certified financial planner courses and an Officers, Partners, Directors Certificate from the Investment Funds Institute of Canada.
Greg has been a member of the Board Directors of the Canadian Teachers' Federation and of the Ontario Teachers' Federation (OTF). The OTF is a co-sponsor of the Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan with net assets of $108.1 billion. Co-sponsors are responsible for ensuring the pension plan is fully funded and for setting plan benefit and contribution levels.
Greg was also a member of the Board of Directors of the Ontario Teachers' Insurance Plan (OTIP) for more than 10 years. During that time, Greg chaired the finance and audit committee of the Board. OTIP is the leading provider of insurance products for education employees in the province. OTIP is a major provider of group health and dental, and long-term disability insurance, as well as home and auto insurance. In the last few years, OTIP has seen tremendous growth, not only in terms of staff and revenue, but also in the expansion of products offered.
Greg has a Master of Laws degree from Osgoode Hall Law School at York University and a Master of Educational Administration from the University of Toronto
