Canada’s Chartered Directors
The Directors College is pleased to present Canada’s Chartered Directors. The graduates listed below have completed The Chartered Director Program, an intensive individual examination, and have met the other requirements to become a Chartered Director (C.Dir.)
The Directors College and the Collège des administrateurs de sociétés (CAS) of Université Laval have a reciprocal agreement, whereby their respective designations – Chartered Director (C.Dir.) and Administrateur de sociétés certifié (ASC) are recognized as equivalent.

Senior Vice-President, Corporate Finance Division – Bank of Montreal
Jim Kelsey is a Banker with a career that covers 36 years, with the last 16 years as an Executive officer of the Bank of Montreal.
Jim joined the Bank of Montreal in 1969, advancing through management until 1989 when he was appointed Vice-President, Independent Business and Agriculture. Following a series of executive positions Jim was appointed Senior Vice-President of Corporate Finance Division in 1997, in the Personal Commercial Client Group.
Jim is responsible for overall management, strategic positioning and financial execution of the eight integrated lines of business within Corporate Finance Division that provide complex customized financial solutions for companies in the Upper mid market segment, across Canada and also to their subsidiaries in the United States.
Specialty lines of business include Senior Debt who are traditional lenders but more so, co-ordinate bringing the full suite of BMO commercial products to clients. Real Estate Finance and Dealership Finance are specialty market capabilities delivering a similar offering in the Real Estate and Automotive markets. Other specialty groups include Asset Based Lending for clients wishing to borrow deeper against current assets, Cash Management for funds and information management, Financial Advisory Services for mergers and acquisition support, BMO Capital Corporation providing mezzanine financing and subordinated debt for expanding companies and a Syndications group co-ordinating expanded debt needs requiring multiple lenders.
Jim is a Director of the Geneva Centre for Autism.
