Canada’s Chartered Directors
The Directors College is pleased to present Canada’s Chartered Directors. The graduates listed below have completed The Chartered Director Program, an intensive individual examination, and have met the other requirements to become a Chartered Director (C.Dir.)
The Directors College and the Collège des administrateurs de sociétés (CAS) of Université Laval have a reciprocal agreement, whereby their respective designations – Chartered Director (C.Dir.) and Administrateur de sociétés certifié (ASC) are recognized as equivalent.

Mr. Charles Bruce, C.Dir.
Chief Executive Officer, Nova Scotia Public Service Long Term Disability Plan Trust Fund

Charles Bruce is the Chief Executive Officer of the Nova Scotia Public Service Long Term Disability Trust (NSPS). The NSPS LTD Trust is a jointly trusteed insurance program focused on providing an integrated disability management approach to 13,500 plan members employed with Province of Nova Scotia and a number of other public sector agencies.
Chuck has been active in the financial services community for 20 years. Prior to assuming his current role, Chuck was a Managing Director of one of Canada's leading financial institutions responsible for its investment and trust operations in Atlantic Canada.
He is a Certified Management Accountant (CMA), Chartered Director (C. Dir), Certified Financial Planner (CFP) and Personal Financial Planner (PFP).
Chuck holds the Advanced Trustee Management Standards (ATMS) certificate in group benefits, awarded by the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans, a certificate in Modern Portfolio Theory and Advanced Investment Management issued by the University of Pennsylvania, Wharton School of Business, is a member of the Investment Management Consultants Association, and has completed the Executive Program at Queens School of Business.
Chuck is affiliated with a number of local and national non profit organizations, chair of the investment committee, and board member at Mount Saint Vincent University in Halifax and a member of the CMA Canada pension comittee .
