The Directors College is pleased to present Canada’s Chartered Directors. The graduates listed below have completed The Chartered Director Program, an intensive individual examination, and have met the other requirements to become a Chartered Director (C.Dir.)

The Directors College and the Collège des administrateurs de sociétés (CAS) of Université Laval have a reciprocal agreement, whereby their respective designations – Chartered Director (C.Dir.) and Administrateur de sociétés certifié (ASC) are recognized as equivalent.

Mr. Gary Finch, C.Dir.
Managing Director, 3XCD Inc. Board Compensation Governance


Gary's financial and executive compensation experience was acquired through 8 years of business management and 20 years of consulting work. The foundation of his executive compensation career was established at two of the world's largest compensation consulting firms, William M Mercer and Hewitt Associates.

Gary has a broad range of executive compensation and broad-based compensation experience across a number of industry sectors including: Banking, Construction, Food Manufacturing, Information Technology, Mining, Pharmaceutical, Energy, Real Estate, Retail, Telecommunications and Transportation.

Gary graduated with distinction with a double major in Chemistry and Physics at Edith Cowan University in Australia. He completed his MBA at Schulich School of Business at York University. Gary also earned his Chartered Director (C.Dir.), with The Directors College - a joint venture between McMaster University and the Conference Board of Canada.

Gary is currently a faculty member of the Directors College and teaches Executive and Board Performance Compensation for the C.Dir program. Gary has also provided input on performance based compensation design to The Human Resource and Compensation Committee Programs, CICA, CMA, HRPA and The Canadian Coalition for Good Governance.
