Canada’s Chartered Directors

The Directors College is pleased to present Canada’s Chartered Directors. The graduates listed below have completed The Chartered Director Program, an intensive individual examination, and have met the other requirements to become a Chartered Director (C.Dir.)

The Directors College and the Collège des administrateurs de sociétés (CAS) of Université Laval have a reciprocal agreement, whereby their respective designations – Chartered Director (C.Dir.) and Administrateur de sociétés certifié (ASC) are recognized as equivalent.

C.Dir. Graduates

Mr. Nash Lakha, C.Dir.
President & Chief Executive Officer, Parmalat Canada Inc.


Born in Tanzania, East Africa, Nash Lakha is the President & C.E.O. of Parmalat Canada Inc. Nash is a Chartered Management Accountant from England, U.K. as well as a Certified Management Accountant and a Chartered Director. He is a graduate of the University of Western Ontario's Executive Management Program and has completed numerous post development courses at the J. L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management, USA and at the UWO. He is a member of the Financial Executives Institute, The Treasury Management Association of Canada and is an International Associate member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. During the Parmalat Italy crisis, Nash played a crucial role and provided solid leadership in guiding the North American organization to stability. He was instrumental in the refinancing of the Canadian operations, divestiture of the Parmalat North American Bakery businesses and in the emergence from Chapter 11 of the US Dairy operations. Nash has played a lead role in various M & A activities for Parmalat in North America, and has handled negotiation of significant commercial transactions, including resolution of disputes. He has served on the Boards of numerous Parmalat North American entities. Nash has held progressively senior positions within the company, including CFO Parmalat Canada, CFO Parmalat USA, VP Planning and Compliance and Director of Finance for several divisions at the Canadian operations. Besides English, Nash speaks Swahili, Hindi and Gujerati.
