Canada’s Chartered Directors
The Directors College is pleased to present Canada’s Chartered Directors. The graduates listed below have completed The Chartered Director Program, an intensive individual examination, and have met the other requirements to become a Chartered Director (C.Dir.)
The Directors College and the Collège des administrateurs de sociétés (CAS) of Université Laval have a reciprocal agreement, whereby their respective designations – Chartered Director (C.Dir.) and Administrateur de sociétés certifié (ASC) are recognized as equivalent.

Mr. Jim Wilson, C.Dir.
Director, Independent

Jim and his wife Norleen farm at Darlingford, MB. They have operated a grains farm producing cereals, oilseeds and pulses since 1974, and a seed processing and marketing plant since 1993. Jim obtained his Chartered Accountant designation and was admitted to the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Manitoba in 1974. He worked in public practice until 1993. Jim was elected to the Board of Manitoba Pool Elevators in 1995. He was elected as First Vice-President of Agricore Cooperative Ltd. in 1999, and served in that capacity until the merger of Agricore and United Grain Growers in 2001, at which time he became a director of Agricore United. Jim was elected Chair of Agricore United in March, 2003 and served in that capacity until February, 2004. Jim presently sits on the Audit Committee and is Chair of the Risk Review Committee. Jim has served on the Boards of XCAN Grain Pool Ltd., Western Co-op Fertilizers Ltd., Canadian Pool Agencies, Pool Insurance Company, Demeter (1993) Ltd., Alberta Wheat Pool Financial Corporation and the Canadian Agri-Food Trade Alliance. Jim currently serves as Chairman of the Canada Grains Council. Jim has has been involved in community sports organizations and has served on the Morden District General Hospital Board. He enjoys golfing and curling. Jim and Norleen have two sons: Chris, who obtained a Diploma in Agriculture and a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture from the University of Manitoba, and Michael who has a Degree in Human Kinetics from the University of British Columbia.
