Canada’s Chartered Directors
The Directors College is pleased to present Canada’s Chartered Directors. The graduates listed below have completed The Chartered Director Program, an intensive individual examination, and have met the other requirements to become a Chartered Director (C.Dir.)
The Directors College and the Collège des administrateurs de sociétés (CAS) of Université Laval have a reciprocal agreement, whereby their respective designations – Chartered Director (C.Dir.) and Administrateur de sociétés certifié (ASC) are recognized as equivalent.

Mr. Lloyd Komori, C.Dir., A.C.C.
Managing Director, Global Risk Institute
Over the past 30 years, Lloyd has worked extensively in the risk management space having spent 15 years in financial services as an investment banker and derivatives trader, 11 years as a global risk management consultant and nearly 4 years as chief risk officer. His current position as the Managing Director at the Global Risk Institute in Financial Services provides him with the opportunity to shape new practices and standards for board directors and c-suite executives in their oversight and execution of their respective risk management accountabilities in the Canadian and global marketplace.
His primary industry experience includes the financial services, asset management, and energy industries and he has designed and implemented holistic risk management functions for multinational corporations, government agencies and various multi-lateral organizations in numerous countries.
Over the past 9 years he has been actively involved in elevating corporate governance standards through education as one of the founding faculty members of The Directors College, Canada’s only university accreditation program for public company board directors.
Lloyd is an active member of several industry associations that specialize in risk management, pension fund governance/advocacy and corporate governance. In addition, he has delivered thought leadership in many of these functions as a past member of the advisory board of the Strategic Risk Council and the Committee of Chief Risk Officers, an organization representing the North American energy industry.
He is on the Board of Directors of the Toronto Local Health Integration Network, Ontario's largest network responsible for the prudent allocation of over $4 billion worth of annual health care funding across the core of Toronto. He is the Chair of the Governance and Nominating Committee and a member of the Audit and Finance Committee.
