Canada’s Chartered Directors
The Directors College is pleased to present Canada’s Chartered Directors. The graduates listed below have completed The Chartered Director Program, an intensive individual examination, and have met the other requirements to become a Chartered Director (C.Dir.)
The Directors College and the Collège des administrateurs de sociétés (CAS) of Université Laval have a reciprocal agreement, whereby their respective designations – Chartered Director (C.Dir.) and Administrateur de sociétés certifié (ASC) are recognized as equivalent.

Mr. Glen Swire, C.Dir.
Past Director, Priszm Income Fund

Glen M. Swire is a semi retired independent businessman. He was a 33-year franchisee of Kentucky Fried Chicken until November 2002, when he sold his last two stores.
Until Oct. 2008, he was a Trustee and Director of the TSX listed Company "The Priszm Income Fund" which operated 484 KFC locations in Canada.
Glen was born in Burlington, Ontario in 1950. He has a Business Degree(1972) and a Chartered Director's degree(2006) from McMaster University. He currently lives in Hamilton, Ontario with his wife Debra. His two adult children, Paul and Julie, have attended university and have successful careers in their chosen fields.
The Swire family owned and operated 17 KFC locations in Hamilton, Burlington and the surrounding area. He was an active member on many boards and KFC committees including the New Products Committee, National Advertising Committee, Ontario Marketing Committee (Chair), Operations Excellence Committee, Presidents Council Advisory Board, and Canadian KFC Franchisee Association Board (President). He has received numerous awards, including the KFC Franchisee of the Year and the National winner of the "Cleanest Store in Canada".
Personally, Glen believes strongly in giving back to the community. He is a past board member of CAVEAT, an anti-violence and judicial reform charity founded by Priscilla DeVilliers and a past member of the Leadership and Commercial Committees of the United Way of Hamilton. He currently sits on the Hamilton Community Foundation's Finance Committee, and is a Director of the Cedar Springs Community Club (Treasurer).
Glen also believes strongly that you must keep your body as well as your mind active. He is a past member of the Advisory Board of the Burlington Racquet and Athletic Club and he enjoys many sports activities, especially tennis, golf and hiking.
