Canada’s Chartered Directors

The Directors College is pleased to present Canada’s Chartered Directors. The graduates listed below have completed The Chartered Director Program, an intensive individual examination, and have met the other requirements to become a Chartered Director (C.Dir.)

The Directors College and the Collège des administrateurs de sociétés (CAS) of Université Laval have a reciprocal agreement, whereby their respective designations – Chartered Director (C.Dir.) and Administrateur de sociétés certifié (ASC) are recognized as equivalent.

Mr. Richard Nino, C.Dir.
Managing Director and Head of Global Sales, AGF Investments America Inc


Richard is an accomplished business executive in the investment management industry. His experience has been gained in complex, diverse, and multi-jurisdiction settings - Canadian, U.S., and Global markets. Richard led the start-up of AGF Investment Americas Inc Boston based U.S. operations where he currently serves as Managing Director and Global Head of Sales. He has responsibility for management oversight, P and L accountability and for growing AGF's U.S. institutional business. In addition he leads global business development and sales for AGF's worldwide institutional business.

Prior to joining AGF in 2007 Richard was a senior executive with CIBC Global Asset Management (formerly TAL Global Asset Management Inc.) and CIBC Global Asset Management (USA) Ltd. He led business development strategy, sales, market development and strategic alliances for CIBC Global Asset Management's operations throughout North America. Prior to joining CIBC Asset Management, Rick acquired over 20 years of human resources, sales/marketing and executive leadership experience in leading Canadian energy and natural resource companies. He has served as chair and principal steward for two major pension plans and is a former board member of SERVE Canada. He has been a sessional Lecturer in the Faculty of Business at Wilfrid Laurier University and is past co-chair of fundraising for the Investment Management Sector of the Hospital for Sick Children Foundation. Rick has a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Western Ontario and an MBA from McMaster University. He has also completed the Ivey School of Business Executive program in Marketing and in 2005 was awarded the Chartered Director (C.Dir) designation through McMaster University's Directors College. In 2010 Richard completed the Wharton School Global studies in Investment strategies and Portfolio Management.
