Canada’s Chartered Directors
The Directors College is pleased to present Canada’s Chartered Directors. The graduates listed below have completed The Chartered Director Program, an intensive individual examination, and have met the other requirements to become a Chartered Director (C.Dir.)
The Directors College and the Collège des administrateurs de sociétés (CAS) of Université Laval have a reciprocal agreement, whereby their respective designations – Chartered Director (C.Dir.) and Administrateur de sociétés certifié (ASC) are recognized as equivalent.

Mr. Paul Heinrich, C.Dir.
Chief Executive Officer, Georgian Bay General Hospital

Paul Heinrich completed his Bachelor of Business Administration(BBA) in May of 1992 at Laurentian University. He obtained his Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation in 1997 through the Society of Management Accountants of Ontario. In June of 2006, Mr. Heinrich completed his Chartered Director designation (C.Dir.) jointly sponsored by the DeGroote School of Business at McMaster University and the Conference Board of Canada. In 2010, Mr. Heinrich obtained the Certified Health Executive Program(CHE) designation through the Canadian College of Health Services Executives. Mr. Heinrich currently holds the position of Chief Executive Officer for Georgian Bay General Hospital. Prior to his current role, he served as Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, Chatham-Kent Health Alliance. Before that, Mr. Heinrich served as the Executive Director and Chief Financial Officer for the Faculty of Medicine, University of Calgary between 1998 and 2008. He also served as an Advisor to the Chief Clinicial Officer of the Calgary Health Region – a position held between 2000 and 2008. Prior to his tenure with the University of Calgary, Mr. Heinrich held management positions at the Huntsville Hospital and Muskoka Community Care Access Centre in Ontario as well as the Inuvik Regional Health and Social Services Board in the North West Territories where he served as Director of Finance and Operations and Treasurer of the Board of Directors. Mr. Heinrich has also served on the Boards of Consolidated Health Information Systems, MedBuy and ProCure. Mr. Heinrich currently serves on the Board of Georgian Bay General Hospital as an ex-officio, non-voting Director.
