Canada’s Chartered Directors

The Directors College is pleased to present Canada’s Chartered Directors. The graduates listed below have completed The Chartered Director Program, an intensive individual examination, and have met the other requirements to become a Chartered Director (C.Dir.)

The Directors College and the Collège des administrateurs de sociétés (CAS) of Université Laval have a reciprocal agreement, whereby their respective designations – Chartered Director (C.Dir.) and Administrateur de sociétés certifié (ASC) are recognized as equivalent.

Ms. Sheila Frame, C.Dir.
Business Unit Director, Neurosciences, Allergan Canada Inc.


Sheila Frame was recently appointed to the US business for AstraZeneca to lead the development and launch of an important asthma product. Until recently, she was the the vice-president of primary care marketing of AstraZeneca Canada Inc.'s pharmaceutical operations. At AstraZeneca in Canada, she was responsible for overseeing all brand and customer marketing, product public relations, and business intelligence, while also heading the Commercial Training, PDC (Patient Driven Change), Market Research and Customer & Sales Analytics divisions. As a fully bilingual communicator, Ms. Frame has the additional responsibility of managing the linguistics services department. Ms. Frame joined AstraZeneca in June 1999. Prior to joining the company, Ms. Frame worked as a professional communicator and lobbyist for 13 years, holding senior positions with Canadian National Railways and Bayer Inc., and also working with a number of other large pharmaceutical companies in a consulting capacity. Ms. Frame holds a bachelor of arts degree from York University and a masters of business administration degree from Concordia University. She has just successfully completed the requirements of the Chartered Corporate Director designation from the Directors' College. In 2000, she was elected as a trustee for the Conseil Scolaire de district catholique centre-sud. She also received the Pinnacle Award in Innovation for Business Women of Distinction, which recognizes women whose endeavors have contributed to the business vitality in Halton and Peel Regions and was also awarded a Queen's Jubilee medal for her contribution to the Canadian Chamber of Commerce. Ms. Frame also co-chaired the stakeholder relations committee of Rx&D, the industry association for Canada's research-based pharmaceutical companies.
