Canada’s Chartered Directors
The Directors College is pleased to present Canada’s Chartered Directors. The graduates listed below have completed The Chartered Director Program, an intensive individual examination, and have met the other requirements to become a Chartered Director (C.Dir.)
The Directors College and the Collège des administrateurs de sociétés (CAS) of Université Laval have a reciprocal agreement, whereby their respective designations – Chartered Director (C.Dir.) and Administrateur de sociétés certifié (ASC) are recognized as equivalent.

Reena Sagoo joined Borealis, the infrastructure investment arm of OMERS, in fiscal 2003. She holds the position of Vice-President, Finance and leads the finance department in activities that support accounting, valuations, treasury, debt and tax compliance. She is also responsible for recruiting and interviewing prospective hires to fill new or existing positions within the department.
Prior to joining Borealis, Reena worked in both the assurance and advisory practices at KPMG. Her clients included large real estate corporations and pension funds, to which she provided audit, due diligence and corporate finance services.
Reena has experience in aspects of financial reporting, forecasting, valuations, accounting and controls. She participates in the development of short and long-term strategic plans and facilitates the annual Enterprise Risk Management process at Borealis. Reena often assists the transaction team in understanding accounting and/or valuation implications on potential acquisitions or restructurings. She has performed numerous business valuations of companies and partnerships in various industries including transportation, real estate, construction, healthcare, energy and oil services. She has also valued minority interests, stock, and intangibles including goodwill.
Reena serves on various committees, including audit, pension, investment, tax and finance. She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the Schulich School of Business, is a Chartered Accountant and a Chartered Business Valuator.
