Canada’s Chartered Directors
The Directors College is pleased to present Canada’s Chartered Directors. The graduates listed below have completed The Chartered Director Program, an intensive individual examination, and have met the other requirements to become a Chartered Director (C.Dir.)
The Directors College and the Collège des administrateurs de sociétés (CAS) of Université Laval have a reciprocal agreement, whereby their respective designations – Chartered Director (C.Dir.) and Administrateur de sociétés certifié (ASC) are recognized as equivalent.

Mrs. Merin Coutts, C.Dir.
Regional Manager, Shaw

Merin Coutts is the Regional Manager for Shaw Cablesystems' Saskatchewan operations.
Merin joined the Shaw team as Sales Manager in 2005 and moved into the Regional Manager role in 2006. She is responsible for overseeing the system operations and leading a team of 200+ employees. She successfully achieved her mandate to grow the Saskatchewan business by launching new revenue streams and expanding the existing customer base. She brings management expertise in employee engagement, communications, and business development.
She is the Chair of Saskatchewan Government Insurance's (SGI) Human Resources and Governance Committee and a past member of the Audit and Finance Committee as well as the Investment Committee.
Merin holds a Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation along with a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Saskatchewan.
As a co-founder of the Saskatchewan youth retention initiative "My Future is Here," Merin is passionate about seeing the province prosper and repatriate our young people. She has been actively involved in many community organizations including, Rotary, International Association of Business Communicators, and the Edward School of Business Mentorship Program. She was recognized as Saskatchewan's Young Professional of the Year in 2005 by Saskatchewan Young Professionals and Entrepreneurs.
