Canada’s Chartered Directors
The Directors College is pleased to present Canada’s Chartered Directors. The graduates listed below have completed The Chartered Director Program, an intensive individual examination, and have met the other requirements to become a Chartered Director (C.Dir.)
The Directors College and the Collège des administrateurs de sociétés (CAS) of Université Laval have a reciprocal agreement, whereby their respective designations – Chartered Director (C.Dir.) and Administrateur de sociétés certifié (ASC) are recognized as equivalent.

Ms. Mary Tate, C.Dir.
Principal, Mary Tate Management Consulting

Mary Tate is the principal of Mary Tate Management Consulting, which provides consulting services in strategic and operational planning, governance, and service improvement. She has consulted in Qatar and Trinidad as well as in Canada.
Mary had a twenty-six year career in the Ontario Public Service. She was the Assistant Deputy Minister responsible for ServiceOntario, which is the government's "one-stop shopping" initiative designed to improve the delivery of government services. Mary also held ADM positions in Registration and Strategic Corporate Support Divisions of the Ministry of Consumer and Business Services. She led the successful OPS Workforce Information Network Project, a government-wide human resource management system and was the Director of Occupational Health and Safety, Ministry of Labour and the Director of Tenant Support Services, Ministry of Housing.
Mary was a Director of the Ontario Pension Board for five years. She was Chair of the Audit Committee and a member of the Governance and Conduct Committee and the Pensions Committee.
Mary holds a B.A in Sociology and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Toronto.
