Canada’s Chartered Directors
The Directors College is pleased to present Canada’s Chartered Directors. The graduates listed below have completed The Chartered Director Program, an intensive individual examination, and have met the other requirements to become a Chartered Director (C.Dir.)
The Directors College and the Collège des administrateurs de sociétés (CAS) of Université Laval have a reciprocal agreement, whereby their respective designations – Chartered Director (C.Dir.) and Administrateur de sociétés certifié (ASC) are recognized as equivalent.

Mr. Ian C. Tudhope, C.Dir.
Principal, Axia Capital Limited

Mr. Tudhope established an independent communication and design practice in 1980. As the co-founder of Tudhope Associates in 1984, he was responsible for the company's growth into Canada's leading brand consulting practice. For twenty years Mr. Tudhope provided strategic planning and brand counsel to leading corporations and consumer businesses in North America.
In 2000 he completed the sale of the firm to Omnicom, a Fortune 500 global marketing company, and the subsequent integration with its subsidiary Interbrand, the world's leading brand consultancy. As Co-CEO and then Chairman of Interbrand Canada, Mr. Tudhope developed corporate strategy, and established cultural integration while driving performance and recognition in North America.
Currently, as principal of Axia Capital Limited, Mr. Tudhope is focused on investment activities in both the private and public markets, with a particular focus on early stage companies. Axia was founded in 2004, and actively seeks to take equity positions in companies where it can contribute to management through the development of business strategy and corporate governance.
Mr. Tudhope is Chair of International Club Network, a virtual club that provides access to a collection of private clubs around the world, as well as preferred access to public golf courses, resorts and travel opportunities. He also sits on the board of Osler Bluff Ski Club in Collingwood, Ontario, and was formerly a director of The Design Exchange, Canada's design museum and centre for research and education.
As a graduate of the Director's College at McMaster University, Mr. Tudhope is a chartered professional corporate director. He is also a graduate of Harvard Business School's Advanced Management Program in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
