Ms. Isabel Meharry, C.Dir., A.C.C.
Vice President, Finance, Secretary Treasurer and Chief Financial Officer, Green Shield Canada


Isabel Meharry is the Chief Financial Officer for Green Shield Canada which specializes in group and individual health and dental programs administration.

A Chartered Accountant since 1980, Isabel has more than 25 years in senior financial and operating roles. Prior to joining Green Shield Canada, she held the position of President and Chief Executive Officer of Financial Executive International Canada. She has also served as the Executive Consultant to the Chairman and CEO of Sun Life Financial of Canada in Hong Kong, as an Executive Vice President Operations of Aviva Insurance Company, as the Chief Financial Officer of the Insurance Corporation of British Columbia and as the Chief Auditor at North American Life Insurance Company (now part of Manulife).

Isabel is on the Board of Directors of Infrastructure Ontario and has chaired both the Audit Committee and the Credit & Risk Management Committee, and she is the Chair of the Board of Directors and the Chair of the Nominating Committee of Kerry’s Place Autism Services (previously Chair of the Audit Committee). Isabel also serves on the Board of Directors and Chairs the Human Resources Committee of the Scarborough General Hospital. Isabel is on the Council of the Institute of Chartered Accountants and recently joined the Board and the Audit Committee of Hope Air.

Isabel holds an MBA from Schulich School of Business, is a Chartered Director and has been awarded her FCA.
