Mr. Anthony Giovinazzo, C.Dir., A.C.C.
President & Chief Executive Officer, Cynapsus Therapeutics Inc. & Independent Board Member
Anthony Giovinazzo has 31 years of experience in international investment and operating management, with an emphasis in strategic visioning, financial management and business development. He has international investment banking, mining, manufacturing, biotech and cleantech industry experience. Anthony's value add includes building board effectiveness, governance reform and implementation, audit committee membership, strategic planning and problem- solving, and raising capital. He is a polished international executive, independent, and an out-of-the-box thinker.
For his first 15 years he focused on international corporate tax, Fortune 500 investment banking and merchant banking in Europe and the US. He has lived and worked in the UK for six years and in the US for two and half years.
Mr. Giovinazzo has also completed The Directors College Board Chairs Forum and Osgoode Hall Law School's The Advanced Legal Guide to Advising The Public Company Board of Directors. He is a founding faculty member of the McMaster University Not For Profit Governance Institute. He completed the Leadership and Strategy in Pharmaceuticals and Biotech program of the Harvard Business School. He is a member of the Institute of Corporate Directors of Canada, and an overseas member of the Institute of Directors of England.
