Governance Industry Events

April 18, 2017

The Directors College and FEI National Capital Region (NCR)
Chapter Dinner Event:

Q&A on Board Governance - Raising the Bar on Audit Committees Effectiveness - Expectations of CFOs

Organizations will need to navigate unprecedented levels of uncertainty in 2017 as they face the prospects of global economic and political uncertainty. This economic and political volatility—together with technology advances, and  business model disruption will challenge organizations and their Boards to manage risks, innovate, capitalize on new opportunities, and execute on strategy. For Audit Committees, these new realities add to their more traditional oversight roles related to financial reporting, compliance, and the risk and internal control environment.

Please join us at our April event, jointly hosted by Financial Executives International NCR Chapter and The Directors College, where these issues will be addressed through a Q&A session with a panel of accomplished leaders in the audit community:  Laurel Murray, Lori O’Neill, and Jennifer Robinson.

Laurel Murray
Chair of the Audit Committee, Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada

Lori O'Neill
